picture of performers interacting with an uncanny collection of objects including stretched plastic wrap

Erin Demastes and Dylan Burchett explore improvisation with small instruments, synthesizers, computers, handmade electronics, and found objects, bringing ideas from their individual practices as experimental music composers, performers, and instrument builders. Following the theme, a group of local instrument builders will include Eric Franklin, Paul Rubenstein, and John Jansen.

Paul Rubenstein plays the mechanical monk (motorized drone played with metal rods), SV (fretless electric strings), and electric-saron/bonang (steel rods, bars, discs over long electromagnetic pickups, played with mallets).

John Jansen plays daxophone, 3rd bridge guitar, and a duochord.

Eric Franklin will be playing the little table.

Vibrations cast into the universe. Mysteries revealed. Ears opening new pathways deep into your cranium.
