“PREPARE” THYSELF FOR AN EXPERIMENTAL MULTI-MEDIA EXTRAVAGANZA AT THE RED ROOM

Jeff Donaldson is a Maryland-based artist originally from Corpus Christi, Texas. Donaldson studied music composition at Towson University until 2001, where he began applying extended techniques for musical instruments to video devices. Borrowing the term “prepared” from John Cage, his prepared video systems offered a new, and ultimately very influential approach to hardware-based installation, performance and design. Donaldson has exhibited and performed this work around the world from 2004 to present.
