High Zero Foundation presents Diffusion Festival series focused on electronic and multi-channel sound works.  The third event in the festival features works by:  Oaklander Madalyn Merkey, local fakir Twig Harper, HATAM and Nathan Corder.

More works may be added to this program.  Here are some details about the composers, and in some cases, their pieces:

Madalyn Merkey is a composer and performer of live computer music based in Oakland. Scent (2012) and Valley Girl (2014) are available on New Images Ltd. She is also the English translator of Due scuole di musica elettronica in Italia, a pioneering electronic music text written by Enore Zaffiri in the 1960s. Her translation, Two Schools of Electronic Music, is forthcoming from Die Schachtel.

HATAM (IRN) is a sound artist and composer who is highly active in the Berlin experimental scenes. She primarily uses SuperCollider and modular synthesizers and works within LABOUR, the Hacklander \ Hatam duo, solo, as a musical director in theater, and as a specialist DJ. She is co-founder & co-director of N.K.
Is not time but a fallible dictate of radical material heteronomy, besieging us in an ocean of chaos and verisimilitude? http://hacklander-hatam.com
Title: ob-jest

Ob-jest is an otherness ceaselessly fleeing in a systematic quest of desire — Julia Kristeva.

Supercollider sound synthesis & modular synthesisers are here the tools systematising the quest of a desire all too fleeting… the jettisoned object always seemingly within reach but never graspable.

Please join us for an evening of “Cinema for the Ear”.
