Coy Fish is an improvising ensemble led by woodwind artist and composer, Sarah Hughes who also performs on autoharp and vocals. The ensemble consists of Sam Burt on daxophone, Dan Ostrow on double bass, and Nate Scheible on percussion, and is a colorful and immersive fusion of sounds from free jazz, noise, experimental, and earth soundscapes. This performance is in celebration of the release of Hughes’ first album and is coupled with a showing of her original prose and visual art.
Maria Shesiuk will perform solo on Moog and Casio with live manipulation and looping.
Corey Thuro will also perform a solo set on mandolin.
