Sunday October 11th brings us Joe Westerlund, student of Milford Graves, drummer with Califone, Megafaun, The Dead Tongues, a practitioner of something I would describe as narrative meditation drumming. It’s “chill” but propulsive. Descriptive and lush without being insipid.

Opening are Domenica Lingg and Joe Shatzoff premiering as a duo at the Red Room from the halls of Peabody Institute.
Domenica is a jazz vibraphonist and Joe is a self taught computer musician who is quite a good guitar player, but/and uses the guitar as sort of a controller for the computer.
