FEATHER FRANKLIN WAGNER
and Rose Burt, CK Barlow, Bonnie Lander, and Liz Downing
EARLY SHOW | DOORS 7:30pm | START TIME 8:00pm
Longtime Baltimore inventor Neil Feather makes a rare appearance in Charm City since moving to New Zealand in 2020. Longtime collaborators Bob Wagner and Eric Franklin have been the bones and some of the meat of bands such as Mugwump, The ElephanTitans, Aerotrain and Broydelic Sidecar Eye. This trio is responsible for last year’s album Retread Blowout

If that’s not enough, there’s also a set with Rose Hammer Burt (saxophone), Bonnie Lander (voice, violin), CK Barlow (sampling), Liz Downing (voice, viola).
While in Bmore 1985-2020 Feather was a founding member of the Red Room and High Zero Festival and also a Sondheim art prize winner. He invented dozens of unique mechanical musical instruments and played in hundreds of improvised groups and did many seriously silly things. Skizz Cyzyc’s Documentary “Sound Mechanic” documents the last 18 months before Feather moved to New Zealand. Trailer is here:https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=936564367270548 .
Feather’s Kiwi bands include Outer Space Food Fight with Rosie Langabeer https://neilfeather1.bandcamp.com/album/outer-space-food-fight-teaser and Status Seekers with Jeff Henderson https://jeffhenderson1.bandcamp.com/album/we-like-to-party
Feather arrives with a twist. Along with his cocolina and vibrowheel, he’ll be wielding a sampler with gleeful abandon. Franklin plays theremin. and his own instrument, the Mojo. Wagner plays his magic drum kit.
