Argyle Torah is the Philadelphia-based duo of Aaron Pond and Thomas Patteson. A friendship spanning the vast terrains of ethnomusicology, organology, and philosophical inquiry. Their music knows little bounds and centers the transfiguration of spirit via electrical and acoustical means. But it is just that, spirit, breath, which forms the core of being and of the world and of this performance.

Dax is a Maryland-based duo consisting of John Jansen and Kylan Hillman. Their performances feature a variety of traditional instruments like electric guitar, banjo and mandolin, handcrafted instruments like daxophones and microtonal 3rd bridge guitars created by John Jansen, and electronic instruments programmed by Kylan Hillman. Kylan and John create music through extended improvisations that crystallize into solid yet malleable forms. The resulting compositions can be as noisy and chaotic as they are ethereal and atmospheric.
