You are cordially invited to come play free music!

DELAYED UNTIL JULY 6th, THIS MONTH, due to a Normals bookstore event on the first Sunday. 7:30pm, Free

Every month, the Red Room hosts the Volunteers’ Collective. It’s a free session of experimental and improvised music. In this friendly, informal setting, we focus on listening and collaboration. Players of all skill levels participate.

Try out a new technique or new instrument in a non-judgmental setting. Meet new and veteran improvisers. Bring a friend.

We could use anyone who is a…
reed-blower, brass-buzzer, tine-thwacker,
gong-spinner, string rubber, membrane-whacker,
balloon-scrubber, hallucination-projector
voltage-modulator, or situation-erector

…for sublime non-idomatic improvised music experiences.

Doors will open at 7:00pm so people with elaborate set ups can arrive early. The PA can be in high demand, so consider bringing your own amplification if you are not playing an acoustic instrument. Access to the PA goes to the first arrivals.
